As I sit here, the whole business of having a website feels like an exercise in vanity. The publication of my book is still a year away. Legal stuff is still to be done, editing hasn't even commenced in earnest. A host of challenges I can't even imagine awaits me. That's a good thing. It's exciting.
Why am I doing this now?
Because I have the time. If there is one thing a career in TV has taught me, moments when you have time to get ahead are rare and precious, so I'm seizing this one, and getting the website started in full and certain knowledge everything I do will be wrong.
In my experience, that's how everything good begins, with a willingness to make mistakes and learn from them. So I hope you, dear reader, whoever you are, will forgive a few, and come back from time to time to see if anything has improved.
